Pastel on sanded paper
Set up a still life this week and enjoyed using the wild violets while they are in bloom. Now hanging at Richardson Public Library for the RCAS Spring Art Show
Had so much fun working with the Zinna pastel I did this Iris pastel to match the other one since I had bought two frames alike at Marshall’s. This one was done on a sanded paper and not nearly as nice to work with as the Kitty Wallis paper, did not have the ability to create as may layers at Wallis does. Clogged up after a few colors. But was much cheaper….
Recently I have been working with Pastels, doing small studies of flowers. I found some very nice frames with mats at Marshall’s that worked great for framing these small drawings I did recently. They add a bright spot to a little corner of a room.
Hope you enjoy reading my blog and keeping up with the arts in my world.
